Your highest stat defines your build’s identity. Pair it with Haki (Willpower-led) and the right fruit/fighting style.

Stat caps and scaling are not yet officially published. Use this planner to compare build shapes, then confirm allocations in-game.

The six core stats, and what each one does

  • Strength — melee and weapon damage. The default lead for sword and fighting-style builds.
  • Willpower — the Haki-primary stat in the community model. Build it if Haki is your win condition.
  • Agility — mobility and evasion. Lets you reposition and dodge rather than trade hits.
  • Precision — crit chance and accuracy. Turns consistency into burst.
  • Energy — skill uptime. Keeps your abilities available instead of sitting on cooldown.
  • Health — survivability. The stat that decides whether you get to finish the fight.

How to plan a build

  1. Decide your identity first: pure melee, Haki-led, or a defined hybrid. Choose the win condition before the numbers.
  2. Put points into the stat your kit actually scales with — a sword build leads Strength, a Haki build leads Willpower.
  3. Add one supporting stat rather than several: Health for survivability or Energy for uptime are the usual picks.
  4. Re-check the total investment and dominant focus above to confirm the build still reads the way you intended.

Reading your result

Total investment is every point you have spent — a quick sense of how far along the build is. Dominant focus is your highest stat and therefore your build's identity. If the dominant focus surprises you, the plan drifted somewhere and it is worth fixing before you spend any more points.

Pair the result with the rest of the wiki: a Willpower-led build wants our Haki progression guide, and any build wants the right Cursed Fruit or fighting style.

Common allocation mistakes

  • Spreading evenly — no dominant focus, no clear win condition.
  • Ignoring Energy — a build with no uptime spends half the fight waiting on cooldowns.
  • All-in on Health — survivability without damage just means you lose more slowly.
  • Copying a build blindly — allocation should follow your fruit and style, not someone else's.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best stat in Grand Blue?

There is no single best stat — it depends on the kit you want. Strength rewards melee and weapon damage, Willpower drives Haki, Agility feeds mobility and evasion, Precision lifts crit and accuracy, Energy keeps skills off cooldown, and Health keeps you alive. Your build identity should follow a weapon, Haki, or fruit plan.

Should I spread my points evenly?

Rarely. An even spread leaves you with no dominant focus, which means you are mediocre at everything instead of strong at one thing. Pick a primary stat that matches your kit, then spend leftover points on a single supporting stat.

Which stat powers Haki?

Willpower is the Haki-primary stat in the community model used here. If Haki is your win condition, lead with Willpower and treat the guide on our Haki page as your progression plan.

Why does the calculator show a dominant focus?

The highest stat defines how the game reads your build — it is your identity. Seeing it stated plainly makes it obvious when you have accidentally drifted into a hybrid with no clear win condition.

Do stats affect fruits and fighting styles?

Fruits and fighting styles scale off your stats, so the right allocation depends on which fruit or style you are building around. Model the build first, then confirm the exact scaling in-game while the game is in early access.
